Meet our Pastry Chef
Cynthia discovered her love for baking as a precocious eight-year-old. She spent hours in the kitchen helping her mother and grandmother bake a delicious variety of cakes, pies, and puddings for their family and community. At the age of thirteen, Cynthia developed her niche for baking, as she created her own cake and pie recipes that she served to her teachers and peers in her middle school home economics class. With encouragement from her mother, Cynthia continued to develop her craft and love of cooking and baking. For many years Cynthia has shared her delicious pies with her family, church family, fellow educators, and friends. The requests and demands for pies were so frequent that it gave inspiration for Cynthia to share her love and gift of baking with more than just family and friends. Today Cynthia shares with you her savory signature pies that have been created with the knowledge and love that was passed down to her years ago from her grandmother and mother. Cynthia believes in giving her customers the best; all of her signature sweet potato pies are made with secret spices and a dash of love.
